She's Been Asking For It

I always said that whenever Abby or Elizabeth asked to have their ears pierced I would let them. But little did I know it would come so soon. Abby started asking when she was three. I was able to hold her off with "It's going to hirt. It's like a big shot." Then last year an older cousin got her's pierced and she started wanting it again. This time not much held her off. She would be quiet about it for a while and then she would ask for several days in a row. She asked again a couple of weeks ago. Matt and I discussed it and decided to go ahead with the piercing. She was enthuastic to get her ears pierced. She enjoyed being able to pick out her first pair and was so calm sitting in the chair. The two girls counted to three and with a small jump Abby's ears were pierced. And she keeps showing them to everyone. She couldn't wait to get home to show Daddy. She even got upst when I wanted to go to another store because she was so excited. And I know, because she told me at bedtime, that she can't wait for school tomorrow so that she can show all her friends.
