A friend of ours did a blog on who's fault it is that there was not more done earlier in the Katrina disaster. He hit the nail on the head with this one I think. I do believe that there is too much blame being spread around and not enough "this is what I can do to help" in the political arena. The Red Cross, FEMA, Salvation Army, and all the others are doing what must be done to get these people help and to make them safe and have been from the get go. The police officers, volunteers, and National Gaurd as well as many others have been too. This will be a disaster that will be remembered for years to come by everyone and I feel the balme needs to stop.
Matt and I discussed the Blame Game and he said it was human nature. I guess this part of human nature drives me nuts in this case. Just help the people and stop pointing fingers at who's fault it is. You can't go back and change it, you just need to learn from it.

If you wouldn't post such controversial thoughts, nobody would argue about them!!! The Blaming is all YOUR FAULT!!!
Seriously, the finger pointing is a waste. That crap can wait until Congressional hearing, out of which will come some nonsense law that further restricts individuals' rights.
Take care of the people and then worry about the rest.
Also: Do not rebuild the parts of the city that are underwater!!! Bulldoze them down and create big parks!
The worst scenario is that another big one comes in the same path as Katrina and The Waves take out the city again (tasteless pun intended http://www.katw.com/).
