Hoping for a Snowfall

In our house tonight we are hoping for snow. Now that we are back in the south we realize that snowfalls are going to be few and far between, so we are doing everything we can in hopes of Jack Frost leaving us some of that wonderful white stuff here at our house. So tonight the kids are wearing thir Jammies backwards and inside out, flushing ice cubes down the toliet, putting spoons in the freezer that will find homes under their pillows for the night and they are busy doing snow dances as well. They came home with all these ideas on how to get it to snow. I have put a large pan outside in hopes of catching snow for some delicious snow cream. Snow Cream is a delicious tradition we have with the first snow if not every snow. Follow the link for our snow cream recipe. It is a simple but delicious treat that the kids will love. Maybe even you too!! Enjoy!

Update: There's no snow on the ground yet but school is already closed for tomorrow. I guess I better make that pot of chili I make for snow days as well.

Glad the kids had snow day even if there wasn't any snow. That's funny! We probably got around 5-6inches today.
We are going to give the Snow Cream a try - sounds yummy!
