Tasty Tuesday and Tips for Summer Survival

Life In The Car Pool Lane
Tuesday's Tips for Summer Survival (TTSS) is a weekly carnival to help mamas survive the long summer days started by Carey over at Life in the Carpool Lane. The goal is to share kid-friendly tips so we can end up on the other side of this summer with what little sanity we had when we started. Be sure to head over and see everyone else's tips to survive the summer.

My tip for this week is popsicles. We make a lot of popsicles around here. We make pudding pops, juice pops and fruit smoothie pops. The kids love helping make them and then really enjoy eating them too. And we eat them doing just about as many places as varieties we have.

We eat our popscicles on the swing set while swinging.

Look, MOMMA! No hands. How do they do that?

Look at that smile. You can tell she's enjoying that smoothie pop.

And Gabriel enjoying his as well. Isn't summer great no school!!

We even enjoy our popscicles in the pool. What better way to clean them up after eat those delicious cold popscicles!?!

And Here's my Tasty Tuesday recipe.

Fruity Fruit Smoothie

1 Cup plain yogurt (can use fat free)
½- 1 cup milk
1 frozen banana
1 cup -1 ½ cups fruit (can use frozen) We have been using mango, strawberry and pineapple.
Pour all ingredients into blender and blend until smooth. Pour into cups. Add straw and umbrella and enjoy. To make popsicles pour smoothie into Popsicle molds and freeze. Once frozen pop out of molds and enjoy.

Great idea! What cute happy kiddos!

I'm vaguely remembering buying some popsicle molds and stashing them away from another day. I think today might be that day...and thanks for the yummy-sounding recipe too!
