Hide and Seek

Gabriel loves to play Hide and Seek he has begun to have pretty good hiding places but he just can't seem to grasp the concept of staying hidden and quiet. Here is an example of the Hide and seek played by two boys. Jackson turned 4 in Jan. and Gabriel will turn 4 in May.

Yesterday we had some friends over and we suggested that Jackson and Gabriel play hide and seek. Jackson began counting and Gabriel hid behind the couch. Jackson started looking and Gabriel pops his head over the couch to see where he is and Jackson sees him. Jackson says, "You are no good!" Gabriel says, "Now you hide." Jackson runs to the stairs while Gabriel counts. Gabriel finishes counting and we hear Jackson yell, "Look upstairs!" Gabriel runs to the bottom of the stairs and looks up and says, "I got you!" Then it starts again and Gabriel hides in the cupboard." Gabriel is once again caught peeking by Jackson who exclaims again that Gabriel is no good.

Jackson's mom and I both thought it was funny that they were both playing the same way but Jackson thought Gabriel was, "No good."
