Flood in the Basement
Yesterday's rainstorm has provided us with water in our basement. The weird thing is that the water is in the center of the room and touches only one small damp area of an exterior wall and all the ceiling tiles are dry. The middle of the carpet is the wettest part of the whole basement. We just can't figure out where the water is coming from. We have a call into someone who is going to try and find the leak. Hopefully it won't take a lot to fix the problem.

The equation:
Matt + Beer + late night gaming on the computer = wet spot on basement floor
Gabriel + no downstairs bathroom = wet spot on basement floor
Those could actually be correct as far as I know. We had people came today to find out what the problem is and so far it is a mystery.
Neither Gabriel, nor I, could make 35 gallons worth of wet spot. That's what I extracted using our carpet cleaner... and it's still damp.
Now, our dishwasher quits working. I feel like I'm sliding off a mountain.
That’s quite weird, indeed! I suspect there’s a groundwater leak in your basement. Maybe the water was seeping out upward from a crack. Anyway, what was the real root of the problem, then?
