Potty Training Abby

Everytime Abby goes potty both Gabriel and Abby get a treat. In the attempt to get treats for them both Gabriel convinced Abby to tell me she went poop poop in the potty. I knew it wasn't hers when I wiped her bottom and there was nothing. I asked and threatened punishment for lying if I didn't hear the truth. They both fessed up and Abby tried again, but to no avail.

Sleeping Issues

Why is it that Elizabeth, who will sleep through the night in her bed, and by sleeping through the night I mean eight hours at least, won't take a morning or afternoon nap in her bed? She will however, sleep in the swing, your arms, or in the car seat, as long as it is moving.

My New Computer

Today we finally purchased my new computer. Matt is very excited about it and has called it his computer on several occasions even though it is upstairs and the kids and I will be using it the most. I'm also very excited to have it as well. I will be more likely to check my email, blog and download pictures on a regular basis again. I can also get my craft newsletters done for MOPS once more since I'm not having to run up two sets of stairs to check on kids who should be napping. And we also have to work on retrieving all of my stuff off of my old computer.

Prayers

This morning at breakfast I asked for Gabriel to say a blessing instead of singing one. He did exactly as I asked but not as I asked. He said "The Lord is good to me" prayer instead of singing it. It was very funny. I guess I should be more specific next time.

Kindergarten for Gabriel

In Tennessee the cut off date for Kindergarten is September. Here in Indiana the cut off date is August. Gabriel was born in May and I have been trying to decide wether or not Gabriel should attend Kindergarten next year. I really feel like he is ready. But part of me wonders if I am making the right decision. I know that he knows everything he should and more to be ready for Kindergarten but I guess my main concern is socail skills. Part of me thinks he is fine and another part thinks he could use more time to mature. From a teacher stand point I think I would tell the parent he is ready and that is what his teachers have told me but I have some reservations. I guess it really won't hurt either way so we will be going to the Kindergarten round up on March 5th and the plan is for him to attend Kindergarten in the Fall. From then on we will be slaves to the schools schedule.

Matt Says,

"Well, that's something she's good for."

Happy Valentine's Day

I hope everyone is having a special Valentine's Day!!!

Be sure to tell your someone special how much you love them!!! I know have and do every day!!

Snow and Ice

We have missed the past two days of school because of snow and ice. We were suppose to get 3 to 6 inches of snow and instead got that much in sleet, freezing rain and snow, mostly of the icy stuff. The kids and I are becoming stir crazy and I hope that the roads will be clear enough for school tomorrow but it's doubtful since they still haven't plowed our street yet. I also have to take Eliabeth to the doctor tomorrow for her two month checkup and shots, so I hope it's not too bad tomorrow morning so I can do that fairly easily.
