Weather Report
With a heat index of 105 degrees we choose not to go to the park today. This is a great day to spend the day running errands, which we did this morning, and to make cool treats to enjoy in the pool. We will make cherry limeade slushies and spend the rest of the afternoon in the pool. I hope that anyone who is under the heat advisories are taking in lots of fluids and being careful. Enjoy the hot but beautiful day. We will be trying. Tomorrow is suppose to be much the same way.

Alien!!!
When Abby was born Matt's brother, Danny, sent Gabriel a t-shirt. I knew a t-shirt was coming and I thought, "How sweet." That is until it arrived. It was funny and unfortunately it has been lost in the move. But luckly we still have pictures of Gabriel wearing his t-shirt. I just hope that seeing this picture doesn't scar him for life. "No, really this is not how babies come out. I promise."
Pictures from Digital to Print

One thing I don't like about digital is that it is so easy to not print out pictures. And with the kids loving to look at pictures of themselves and others I have started working on getting pictures printed so that I can get them into scrapbooks.
As I started on Abby's pictures I saw the pictures of her birth. The more I looked at them the more excited I got about this pregnancy, not that I wasn't excited already. But the pictures made me want to hold this baby even more and with the date of my ultra sound coming closer and closer it is getting more and more exciting. I think finally being able to have and gender and give the baby a name is what really solidifies to me that I am having a baby. Well, that and the kicking.
But anyway, I just ordered almost 2oo prints of Abby from March 2004 - December 2005 and have a bunch more to go. I will be starting on finishing Gabriel's scrapbook soon. For him I need to work on 2004-2006. We had more digital prints of Abby than Gabriel since we didn't really switch to all digital until just recently.
And just because I want to here are pictures from Gabriel's and Abby's births.
Leg Cramps
Friday afternoon during my short interrupted cat nap I experienced a leg cramp, commonly known as a "Charlie Horse". And since said leg cramp occured my leg has been hurting to the point that simpily walking around the house hurts. I have tried a hot bath, ice and heat, stretching and Matt has even rubbed it though it was painful. If anyone has any thoughts on how to get the pain to go away I would love the advice. Normally I would take some Advil since it is an anti-inflammitory but since I am pregnant that is not allowed. So please send along your advice. And of course the last Charlie horse I had was when I was pregnant with Abby.

The Box Story
Ever since I've known Matt's family I have heard the story about the refrigerator box. In the story, depending on who's telling it, Matt was tricked into climbing into the box. After he was in the box his big brother and sister set up chairs around it so that he could not tip the box and get out.
Now, I'm sure everyone has some story in their history that is similar to this but for some reason it is more traumatizing and funny to Matt and his family. Anyway today while I was trying to send out some emails Gabriel and Abby had a similar experience. In this case though it was a toy box instead of a refrigerator box and it was the little sister who kept her big brother from getting out. She was sitting on top of the box while Gabriel screamed and cried.
Poor Gabriel is going to have his hands full if we have another girl. Abby's already got his number I can't imagine what it will be like for him with two sisters ganging up on him.

Rainy Day
As I laid in bed this morning listening to the rain and thunder I thought we would just have a pajama day. Then as I snuggled under the covers to catch a little more shut eye I remember suddenly that Gabriel had a doctors appointment this morning. It was disappointing to me to have to get out of bed and get ready for a day when it is a perfect day to just lay around the house and enjoy the weather. Oh well, I guess I can now just relax and enjoy the rainy day ahead. Though I will probably take this opportunity to get some housework done as well. Maybe I can get the kids to stay in the basement long enough for me to get the main floor cleaned.

Our Vacation- Cape San Blas, FL
We had a wonderful vacation and despite the few times we had whinning, crying, and crabbiness, from all of us, it was pleasant. The beach was just like we remembered it. The beach was fairly deserted with only about 5 other families close to us. In the next couple of years though it will become more crowded with all the homes being built in and around where we were staying. The house we stayed in was beautiful and very kids friendly. Matt and I hope to return in the next couple of years but we will wait at least two so that the new baby is walking. And Matt should have a pretty good idea at that time was he can handle with his classes. It's a beautiful beach and very quiet if that is what you are looking for. If you are wanting night life and resturants this is not the place for you.

Matt's Moody Symbol
This was Matt's mood for part of the time during our trip.He caught this blue crab on our last night on the beach. We had walked down to some tide pools to let the kids play in less wavy water. He ended up giving this a several other crabs to another family who were crabing while we were down there.

Gabe Says
Today is my Dad's birthday, as I said in a previous post, so this morning the kids and I called to wish him a very happy one. This is the conversation:
Gabe: Happy Birthday Grandad!!!
Grandad: Why, Thank you Gabriel.
Gabe: What are you going to do for your birthday?
Grandad: I'm going to work and go to the doctor.
Gabe: You're going to work? That doesn't sound like much fun.
Grandad: (Laughing) It doesn't? Well, that's what I'm going to do.

Today is my dad's birthday. I hope he has a good one. Everyone is out of town today. But we will be arriving tomorrow night. We will celebrate then.
Stop Sucking Your Fingers
In an attempt to get Gabe to stop sucking his fingers I bought the something called THUM. It is suppose to stop thumb sucking and nail biting. We have told him that this was going to happen and told him it would taste bad. After the first application he put his fingers in his mouth and immediately started making faces. He then tried to wipe the offending taste off his tounge making it worse. After that he kept trying to sneak into the bathroom to wash his hands. After I told him that I would just keep putting the stuff on his fingers did he walk over pick up the offending bottle telling me he was going to "put it away." He said this as he walked towards the garbage cans. This may work if I can remember to keep applying the stuff.

This Week
Since we are leaving for Flordia on Friday I will be spending the week cleaning the house, packing and shopping for those last minute items we need for the beach and trip down there. We will be spending a week at this house with my parents, sister's family and possibly my brother's family, depending on how Etsuko feels when she returns from her trip to Japan. We use to vacation here every year until my 2nd year of college. I am interested in seeing how much the area has changed, but there is not much room for growth and very little to do than fish and hang out on the beach. I am really looking forward to this vacation though. I hope Matt and the kids enjoy it and have many fond memories. I think I am looking forward to seeing Matt scallop the most.
Update: The upstairs is in order and clean. Part of the packing is completed and most of the shopping is done. I just hope it can last through the rest of the week.

Of Course
When we were living in Tennessee I so wanted some of my friends to have babies or be pregnant when I was. And of course as soon as we leave and get settled into our new home and know we will be here for a while my friends start coming up pregnant. So anyway my sincere Congratulations to Suzi and Donna for being pregnant. I just wish we could have done it in the same state and city.

Take a guess
In four weeks I will be finding out the gender of our third baby. I would love it if everyone would take a guess as to the gender. Let me know and I will post when I find out.
We Are Home
Last night we arrived back home after our visit to see the grandparents in Knoxville. We had a good visit. We swam, went to the park, watched fireworks, played with cousins and headed home. It was a short visit but one we enjoyed, but we are glad to be back home. Now we have to start getting ready for Flordia in a week and a half. Now we get to hear is it time to go yet? Instead of are we there yet? That will come soon enough.
Gabe Says
On our way to NiNi's house,
Is it the Grandaddy with the pulled out hair?
NiNi pulled it out pulling him down the stairs.
